The crown has a large yellow label sewn in with the Burberrys logo and Aus 43655 W/O Penrose R. V. and the leather chinstrap is held in place by 2 plain cloth covered black buttons. Raymond Victor Penrose enlisted on 27 Mar 1943 at Perth and discharged on 23 Jan 1946 as a Warrant Officer from 14 Aircrew Holding Unit.

The cap is lined with a grey quilted material and has a makers label to Cailleur Parisien Ismalia sewn to the crown. The chinstrap is held in place by 2 plain black buttons. Peter enlisted on 20 Jul 1940 at Adelaide and discharged on 7 Feb 1945 as a Flight Lieutenant from 4 Headquarters Group.
