TA012. A large wooden jewellery box lined with blue velvet, on the lid is a map of Australia, a silver and enamel sweetheart badge and a silver plate engraved “Joan 1941” Inside is a note “This box was made by 36640 LAC Brewster A. E. Group 886 MILPO 71 Townsville, he was earlier at Deniliquin, Donated by Mrs Joan McNaught” Alan Edward Brewster enlisted on 13 May 1941 ay Sydney and discharged on 19 Feb 1946 as a Corporal from 3 RAAF Hospital.

Kerry, As you can see I have 4 varieties of this jewelry box and have seen others for sale recently. These were possibly made by airmen to sell or give to family members as sweetheart items. WW2 era.
